With a mulching kit fitted to the mower, clippings can be retained under the deck, shredded into ultra-fine particles and released back onto the lawn. The advantage of this system is that the lawn stays clean and uniform, while getting nutrition from the mulch. The kit is not available for electric motor models or for models with 41 cm deck.
